Actually, i posted this picture. The menu calls it a Puff Pastry With Carmelized Apples With Vanilla Cream And Caramel Sauce. It is even more delicious than it looks.

The supper club is a feature on most of the newer ships..... for $30.00 pp.

It is more of an experience, than just dinner. First, the atmosphere is wonderful. Soft intimate lighting, a singer ... playing nice adult contemporary music (ours was wonderful).... and relaxing service.

The meal itself is wonderful. You are greeted with an explanation of the cuts of beef, and then you can choose. The food itself is wonderful... and I sure if you do not like peas, they would give you another vegetable.

In between courses, we were given pallet cleansing sorbet and another smaller appetiser.

I think it was the best dining experience, and meal.. that I ever had.

Are you allowed to order more than 1 plate per entre/app etc like regular dining or no?

Thanx!

No, and you won't want to, either. You get SO much food. And it's delicious.

OK, I posted some food porn in the Glory Menu thread, but I'd better put them here and see if I have any from Miracle...

From Glory 5/17/08:

Fish & Chips and, um, something else from Sur Mer (octopus salad?)...

The "new" salmon appetizer...

My overcooked, tough NY Strip...

Creme brulee (too sweet, sugar wasn't "burnt" enough)...

Tiramisu and Bitter & Blanc...

This should be obvious!

Onion Rings anyone. I totally love them. They are great with a big juicy hamburger on deck while the wind blows thru your hair. Darn I am starving now. Any more pictures.

Oh...I need a support group I love Onion Rings sooooo much! :p But in my older years (cough) they are starting to not like me :o :p At home I put them on a plate like nachos, with melted cheese, or sprinkle with parmesan cheese...or slather Ketchup, or dip in Ranch, or even homemade tarter sauce...or.....see......what I'm eating is not healthy! :eek: I really could make an onion ring cookbook, that comes with breath mints and Rolaids :D

I agree...cheeseburger with grilled onions & a pile of onion rings....the caribbean air (or where ever you're cruising).

Ok...whew....thanks alot...I'm hungry too! ;) Coffee isnt cutting it....

We told our waiter before hand, that when it got to Lobster & Prime Rib night, he'd need more than just 'one' plate...so the waiter asked how many???...DH replied 3 plates. Sure enough..without asking or confirming, our waiter brought my DH one plate after another of the Lobster. Same when they had Prime Rib. Its been that way ever since....our last cruise, narrowed it down to just two plates :)

I agree...you do get enough food from start to finish, so its tough to shove down 2+ plates of the main course. :eek: But if you ask, you shall receive! Skip the salad, dont eat so much bread before the meal...and you should have enough room if you really want more than one main dish :) come to think of it...that goes for even the desserts.....you can oder all of them if you like.

Enjoy!

I agree with OHS81...avoid overdoing the bread before the meal. Easier said than done b/c the bread was delicious...dh fell in love with one type and they actually would hunt it down for him if they didn't have it on the servers tray.

The appeizers are small enough to order two. If me or my dd thought we wouldn't like one but still wanted to "try" it, we would order a back up. Dh ordered two entrees on several nights. Not all the entrees are large portions, the lobster tail was extremely small on our trip..even my 90lb daughter ate two. And we rarely left food on our plates so we weren't wasteful.

My tip is to order multiples up front if you anticipate you will want them. The waiter puts the order in for each segment of the meal all at once for all his/her tables. Its an additional effort for him when you wait till the course has been distributed.

Oh us too! There's nothing left on our plates when its time to 'roll' away from the table. :p Since there's 4 of us, we share our desserts...ugh...if we have room ;) :)

On formal nights, DH & I do our own "surf & turf". I order the Prime Rib & he orders 2 lobsters and we share. We've done that before to use a pasta entree as a side dish for both of us, or to share an appetizer we both want. :)

No, you can't order more than one plate in the Supper Clubs. But not to worry.....you'll be stuffed!

ETA: Well, you can order more than one plate but you'll pay a second surcharge....$30pp.

Deaf Dude,

What is on the tray on the 3rd picture down from the top one? To me it looks almost like oysters on the half shell but I know it's not.

To ALL of you who posted pictures:

~~~~~~~~~~~~THANK YOU~~~~~~~~~~~~~:)
I can't wait till my first Carnival Cruise in March!
Wonderful pictures. Do they have a kids menu too? and whats on that?
Also, I nevr get the whole paying extra for another resturant thing on a cruise. To me part of the greatness of the cruise is that your meals are included, but it looks like alot do pay more. So how do you know what is extra? Is room service extra?
Eeek ! I have no idea what it was. those pics were taken in 2002. If I had to guess, its some kind of pastry or meat roll that was cut into slices. Something to dip in that green glop in the center. :D
