rarescrambler Posted July 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2008 My question is probably going to make it very obvious that I'm somewhat new to this board, but I've read several references to viewing the ships' locations on webcam. How, where, etc? We're going to be on the Westerdam and would love to be able to check in on her whereabouts from time-to-time. TIA for advice/instructions.
Barek Posted July 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2008 I'm not sure where to find a Westerdam webcam ... but to locate her position, you can check here: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shipposition.phtml?call=PINX&duration=
lazey1 Posted July 17, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2008 It is my understanding that no HAL ship has a webcam. You can look at the daily post by LAFFNVEGAS which tell the location of all the HAL ships and provides addresses for the ports that have webcams. jtl513 Posted July 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2008 You can quite a few Port Cams, and cams on some ships, at www.kroooz-cams.com. Note there's three o's! :)

catl331 Posted July 18, 2008 #6 Share Posted July 18, 2008 I'm not sure where to find a Westerdam webcam ... but to locate her position, you can check here: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shipposition.phtml?call=PINX&duration=12 It should be noted that sailwx will only give the ship's last self-reported position, and it is often days old. When we went through the Panama Canal relatives who were trying to track us saw the ship as frozen in the Caribbean for the whole two weeks. :(
