travelling to rome

Can anyone let us know the cheapest way a family of 5 can travel to rome from Civitavecchia, thanks in advance

the train...its like a regional US train- more like the NY subway from the 80's(graffiti and all)..from Rockaway to Manhattan....

Hi - get the train (see my other post). Book beforehand on the Trenitalia website and when you choose which type of ticket try to get the family ticket as you get a 20% discount. We went on the express train there and back which was a bit more expensive but worth it for the shorter journey, especially if you have kids. If you are going to the Colloseum book that beforehand as well and sail past the huge queue.
