Booking question

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere, but I'm not totally awake yet and don't feel like dealing with the search feature.

I have a courtesy hold on a cabin that has a senior rate right now. I'm waiting to see if DH can get that week off. He should know by Tuesday at the latest. If the rate goes up before I book and I do end up booking it, will it be the going rate or the rate it was when I put the hold on it?

The cruise is in less than two months, so the whole amount will be due at the time of booking and I will be in the penalty phase from the outset. At the moment my TA says there is good cabin availability, so I'm hoping the senior discount hangs in there!

I believe you can only hold a cabin for 24 hours--after which you would have to pay the going rate at the time of booking.

My TA has the hold on the cabin and she said it is good until Thursday. She gave me a total due on Thursday that is the senior rate, so I guess agents can hold cabins at the original rate for a bit longer. But I'm going to fire off an email to her and ask her anyway.

Thanks.....I may be interpreting her answer incorrectly!

Ask your TA how long that hold is good for. They should be able to tell you.

erm, pmfan....just how many back to backs are you doing on the Sov? I can't do the math in my head!!! Have a great time...

If the TA says she has until Thurs for the hold then that price will be protected until then. Have a good cruise.
