Does anybody know if there are artists selling their artwork anywhere in Key West? Not like art shops where it is really expensive but like in New Orleans where the artist is outside selling?

There is one who sits on the sidewalk outside the Hemigway House and sells his work and one that used to sit near the Southernmost Point marker, but I am not sure if he is still there.

 

Mallory Square has some people who sell things they made during the Sunset Celebrations each night.

 

I don't know if any of this artwork is exactly what you are looking for.

 

There are many galleries in Key West that sell the work of local artists, both paintings and sculpture, also some pretty nice prints. Many of these galleries on on Duval Strret.

There is a lady who sells very nice photgraphs of various Key West scenes at the Mallory Docks during the sunset celebration. I bought a nice one as a gift for a friend and if her name is on it I will post it.

 

But there is a small allery on Duval that showcases local artists...

We visit that gallery every time we go to Key West. I find their prices very reasonable.

 

Another gallery we frequent is Cuba! Cuba! which has art and artifacts from Cuba. It is very interesting to visit. I haven't bought anything yet there, but we usually do stop in.
