New to Royal need help

We are thinking of trying the 9night western Carib. out of New York on the VOS. How is this ship and cruise? We are a family of three my wife, myself and daughter who will be 6. We have traveled on Celebrity Summit 3 times and think its time for a change. How is it out of New York? Any comments will be helpful. Thanks in advance!

that'd be great. Just dont get a balcony, incase your 6-yearold wants to go for a swim! I'd suggest an oceanview, mabey one infront of the ships so you can see where your going.

We have always had a balcony with no problem. We are looking for a nice cabin something like the FV on the summit. Any ideas?

The Voyager is a great ship, very different from Celebrity's "M" class. The most notable difference will be the overall atmosphere that will be more casual than Celebrity. As an example, on Celebrity passengers get dressed up on formal night and stay dressed up the entire night. On RCCL many people go back to the cabin right after dinner to change back to more casual clothes. You will also find a lot more activities on a Voyager class ship. As for sailing from New York, the ship actually sails from Bayonne, New Jersey.
