Question re Al Ponte Antico in October

Can anyone who has stayed there in October please tell me if the terrace is open for use that time of year? Also, if you have stayed in one of the "Classic" rooms, could you please share your opinions regarding the room? I am tossing between the "canal view" and the less expensive room, leaning towards less expensive, especially if we can sit out on the terrace and enjoy our wine. :p Thanks in advance.
