Voyager-5 day Canada cruise in June?

Interested in the Canadian cruise out of Port Liberty (Bayonne, NJ)in June. Any opinions, is it cool and foggy in June? What about the two ports--were they enjoyable? Is embarkation and debarkation going to be a nightmare? How about the Voyager for 40 something couple? No kids coming this time. Any points of view appreciated.

May hit some fog in the evening.. but should be VERY nice. Did Serenade in mid-September to Canada and that was ONLY 3 nighter.. would have LOVED to been on it longer.. looking for good price for closer to the end of June (have fingers crossed).

We have done the Canada Cruise on the Triumph and the Victory. June should be beautiful. Temps should be in 70's in the day and 50's at night I would take a sweater for cool evenings on deck and for inside. you probably will need it in the show lounge and the ice skating rink.

Does anyone know what time we can board the ship...it leaves at 10 pm.

My husband and I are planning to confirm reservations this week on the Voyager May 16 to Canada. Please be kind enought to tell me--what is the Tuesday--the RCI happy hour? Would love to get a cabin w/ a balcony for a good price! Do I make the reservations directly w/ RCI? many many thanks for your time and help.

North Atlantic can get chilly even during the height of the summer heat, so be prepared. Last July 4 we had fog going and returning. It was very "Agatha Christie" hearing that foghorn going all day. Expected to see a sailor with a peg leg and a parrot on his shoulder. I like to sit out on the promenade deck and it was okay with a sweathshirt on. But our day in Halifax was gorgeous. With only 2 sea days there was plenty to do (this was Carnival) and I'm sure Voyager will have even more to do during those days. Plus there's the solarium so you can sit "out" and take a dip in the pool or use the whirlpools. As a single I haven't seen such great prices for a Voyager class ship, so I'm looking forward to it.

Various reports have it listed as $12 or $15 per day. On the high side, that should be $75 for the 5 day.

Happy Hour pricing.... booking made on Tueday... not sure if there's a happy hour special for June 12 or a promowave... contact a TA for these... they can take info and call it in for booking on Tuesday.. Happy hour specials are ONLY for new bookings only and RCCL WON"T have it in the computer before Tuesday.. and "May" (not sure of this) offer this directly to those who call them up directly.

NO June 14 (or is it June13) Happy Hour for this Tuesday for Voyager BUT there is the Promowave pricing.. not sure if you get an actual cabin # or guarantee... for this sailing. Pricing is $499 for inside, $599 outside, %699 balcony and $999 for suite. This is for booking w/o April 6th and if pricing drops (other than happy hour) you should be able to get an adjustment in price. I also believe that these CAN be combined w/C&A balcony discounts. HOpe this helps..

Last trip (land trip) did all bookings myself. The prices you quote are on the RCCL web site. Some of the online cruise sights are a little lower. I am thinking if the prices are not that different, I could go ahead and book directly with RCCL or is that a bad idea (not having a travel agent involved)?

Booking directly you'll get the price you see on website. If you go w/a larger (high producer) agency you may save 5-15% off the base (not including port or fees) depending on how you negotiate w/agency and depending on the type of cabin you book. Either way if the price drops you need to contact RCCL for a adj. if you book w/them or the travel agency.. (can't contact RCCL if using ta). Depending on who you book with other than saving a few $$ you may get a better seating using a ta... it's a personal choice.

One more thought... have you cruised before... 'cause alot of the booking folks at RCCL have NEVER been on any of the ships (most are based in Kansas City if my memory's correct... rarely get anyone from Fla. anymore.
You may get better advice if you book w/ta. JMHO.
