Never done transatlantic...what to expect seas wise? Any suggestions for van drivers/guides in Vigo, Spain, Lisbon (Sintra & Cascais), LeHavre (done Paris), Brussels (would like to see Brugge)? Which side of ship is best for balcony?

There's absolutely no way to tell how the seas will be on a trans-Atl. I've done a few crossings and some were smooth and some had 40ft seas. It's just a roll of the dice.

There's also no way to tell you what side of the ship is better for a balcony. How a captain pulls into dock is dependent on many things such as arrival time, currents, number of ships in port and things like that. So, you could have either port or starboard and it won't make much difference.
