Rio to Iguassu Falls on TAM Airlines

I have been checking into fares from Rio to Iguassu Falls in March, and the fares are about $780 per person round trip. I have also checked other months of the year and they seem to be the same. Does anyone know if these fares are typical?

There is, also, Gol Airlines that you might try. We flew TAM in 2005 before Varig went out into bankruptcy, and we paid about $200 a person. I had to find a Brazilian travel agent to get those rates because when I called TAM's offices in Miami it was more like $700 a person. GOL was competitively priced, but the flights were not convenient. We had to change planes in Sao Paolo on TAM.
