Nassau, 5 hours only, which beach

Hi,

 

We will be in Nassau, 8:00am - 2:00pm, our choices come down to these:

Blackbeard's beach break with Carnival (how much??)

Hilton beach pass ($15 or $20) we can walk from the port

Wyndham/Sheraton, Cable Beach, looks the nicest, but can we enjoy at least 3 hours there, how far from port, how much is the cab, dont want to take the jitney, not enough time.

Any advice would be great, we will be a group of 6, maybe 8

With that amount of time, the BC Hilton seems like a good choice, as you can just walk back to the ship and not worry about being late.

Cab is around $4-5pp each way. If you have 8 you might be able to get it down a little as you will fill the cab. It is no more than a 10 min. ride.

Can we just walk around at the pier and shop, we are on the Carnival Valor, in Nassau from just 8:00am - 2:00pm, must be back on board by 1:30pm...

We went to Senior Frogs then stumbled our way to light house beach. I would NOT recommend going to that beach unless you have never seen a beach, then you would like it. There was a fair amount of trash at the high tide line and in the water. A doubled edged sword was there was NO other tourists there. While we had no problems (2 martial arts instructors were with us lol) you should keep an extra eye out.

Lots of things to see in DT nassau, just minutes from the dock and you are in the centre of town. British colonial hilton is 10 minute walk from the dock.
