My son made me laugh last night. He told me that he lost 5 lbs. this week and here's how it happened.

 

He bought a lemon--a car with many problems. The latest was a malfunction with the power windows. His driver-side window would go down but not up consistently. He got caught in the rain recently and was not happy. The fix was too much for his budget so he chose the cheaper option and had the window wedged shut.

 

Guess what that means? NO DRIVE-THRU eating this week. And he lost 5 lbs.

Back before I changed my eating habits, and thus my lifestyle, a broken window didn't deter me from fast food. We had a car with a driver's side window that would only go down about 3 inches. Whenever I went through a drive-through, I would just open my door. ;) A little thing like a broken window wasn't going to get between me and all those calories! Salsa Dancer, your son obviously has better restraint than I used to. Good for him!
