My gym is closing for a week

Why!!!!!! They need to "recarpet" stuff...seriously cant they wait 30 days...gonna have to do my cardio out on the street and no lifting.... =(

Ours closes for *2* weeks each year. They basically tear the place apart, and put it back together again. Always a few new things, they are promising new equipment, a new class, and a physical therapy office in house for all the boomers with bad knees, backs, achilles, you name it. We are 8 days into the closedown, 6 more to go.

They give us a list of gyms we could go to, I haven't yet. Instead, I do push ups and crunches on the fit ball, I have exercise videos, I go to the park where there is an exercise course, and walk walk walk. I meet with a workout buddy twice a week for a 3-4 mile walk on top of my own. There are lots more things I could do...

Not the same as the gym, and I'm thinking of avoiding the scale till I've been back for a week.

Honestly going to another gym would be like cheating on a spouse to me...im just gonna spend that week doing cardio, walking around teh neighborhood i guess...
