The prices of each package onboard is the same as the precruise order prices except onboard they quote the prices without the 15% gratuity and then add it while precruise the prices include the 15%.

The precruise purchase is charged immediately to your credit card.

We always order precruise. Am I understanding this correctly? Are we saving the 15% gratuity by ordering in advance? If this is the case I didn't realize it and would have added a tip.

No you don't save the 15% gratuity since it is include or built into the precruise price.

eg. Gold 5 bottle W&D pkg is $130 precruise but promoted price onboard is $113 to which RC adds the 15% gratuity so the cost ends up the same.
