No more Xel-Ha?

We had been planning to do Xel-Ha on our upcoming cruise in October but it's not listed anymore. I wonder what happened to it.

Has the cruiseline shortened the time in port? Perhaps it can no longer be accommodated, given your time in port? Also, tours change based on the economics of the particular tour. could be that Xel Ha could no longer be offered because the local operator was raising prices, and the cruiseline could not make a profit. Could also just be a matter of demand.. Lots of different considerations to ponder. :o

There is a lot of travel time from Coz to Xel-Ha. That may be the reason. Xel-Ha is much more accessible from Calica. You add around 1 1/2 to 2 hours of travel just because of the ferry and that is if you catch it on time. In a worst case scenario it could be as long as 2 1/2 hours just to cross from Coz to PDC and back.
