nevek Posted August 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2008 Hey going to bermuda for my first time next week - 25-29 on the dawn. Does anyone want to split the cost of a fishing trip? I can get myself and possibly 1-3 others. I've never been there before - have no idea which charters are good or bad Thanks!

I think that might be the best way to find someone!
bluesea777 Posted August 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2008 I've never been there before - have no idea which charters are good or bad Thanks! They are GOOD!!! But you need to book well in advance. http://www.bermudabillfishblast.com/article.jsp?ID=35877 We went on Gringo and had a great time. Other charters are as good. It's a matter of being able to get a boat for the day (better than 1/2 day). Also everyone in the party MUST be capable of handling wavy seas - bonine is recommended over dramanine. It's a waste for the charter when all in the party is sick - no fish for them to catch and they have to return early at the people's request - often with no fish or little fish. One charter made the party pay extra when two people threw up all over in the cabin so that the charter could hire emergency cleaners that evening so that the boat is ready for next day's fishing! The charters usually go to Challenger Banks - about 1 hour SW of Bermuda.
