Rare Mrs_Tiki Posted August 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Although we've sailed the M- and Radiance- class ships on X and RCL, we have no experience with the larger RCL ships or Century class on X. I'm thinking of taking DD and a friend (will be 15 and 16) on a 5-day cruise for Spring Break. Navigator sails from FLL to Cozumel and Belize, Century sails from MIA to Key West and Grand Cayman. Cost is comparable. I would appreciate any advice on which ship/ports might be best for teens. We have been to all of the ports at some point, but not since DD was much younger and less adventurous! luv2cruz64 Posted August 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2008 I cannot help you compare the two since i've never been on a celeberity cruise however we took our two teens 15 & 16 on this same Nav. cruise in December. They loved it!!!!!!! The teen activites on the ship were great and in Coz. we did Paradise beach--they could climb the iceberg & jump on the water tramp. ect.. In Belize we did cave tubing--a big hit with them. My dd 15 at the time is not the sporty type but these activities added just enough adventure for her. Maybe someone else can give you perspective on the Celeb. cruise. This is the link to a review of our cruise done by a teen on that same sailing-hope it helps: http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=35877
retnuh281 Posted August 21, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2008 But..... it was during spring break, and we had two 14 yr old girls. They loved it so much it made the trip for all of us. And we are taking another cruise spring break '09. They met a huge group of kids their age from all over the country and Canada, and hung out from "sun up" to sun down and then some. They were both sobbing uncontrollably the last night after curfew. Have never been on the other ship, but I know you can't go wrong with the NOS. Sea Island Lady Posted August 21, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Hi, I have been on the Century, Millennium, Mariner and AOS (sister ships to the Navigator). Hands down...take the teens on the Navigator. :) There is just not enough to do for teens, on the Century.
Rare Mrs_Tiki Posted August 21, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted August 21, 2008 I appreciate your advice. I posted the same question on the Celebrity Board and got the same response!
