Snuba in Grand Turk

Has anyone done this activity? I see on the HAL shore excursions site that it's done from a platform that's right there at the beach. If this is the case, would we be seeing anything by doing the snuba that we wouldn't see if we were to snorkel in that same general area?

 

Another question - is it likely we would see stingrays while either doing the above snuba, or by snorkeling on our own from the beach? I'd like to see a stingray, but I don't need to pet and kiss them :eek:

I have done the snuba but went out on a boat, it wasn't done from your talking about. Over at Bohio resort, they have excursions there, not sure if they have snuba though. I don't see it on their website.
