Complimentary Shuttle to Port of Miami

We are flying in to Ft. Lauderdale the day before and am looking for a hotel that offers shuttle service to Port of Miami. Any recommendations?

Sorry to say you'll be hard pressed to find a Ft Lauderdale hotel that offers a shuttle to Port of Miami. They don't even provide shuttles to Miami International Airport (most don't even provide shuttles to Ft Lauderdale airport).

The hotel doesn't have to be in Ft. Lauderdale. Are there any in Miami?

^ None in the downtown area - you'll have to stay by the airport if you want a free shuttle. If you do stay at one of the Port of Miami area hotels, a cab is only about 10 or 12 bucks to the pier.

We've stayed at the often recommended LaQuinta Airport East in Miami. They offer a shuttle from MIA to the hotel (but not from FLL), a continental breakfast (with waffles) and a shuttle to the port.

I read on this board earlier in the year that a Ramada in FLL offered a shuttle to the Port of Miami. Not a fabulous hotel but had fair reviews. Not sure if they still offer this service.

If there is an event happening in the Miami area when you are traveling, a lot of the hotels put a minimum stay on their rooms.

Comfort Inn on Stirling Road (hollywood, FL) is right by Ft lauderdale airport. They may still a package they let you book that includes shuttle to Miami cruise port. They have complimentary shuttle pickup from Ft Lauderdale airport and complimentary transfer to Port Everglades, but you have to book the package for the transfer to Miami port.

Call that Ramada and see what they now have. They had a fee-shuttle to MIA that I did see here at one time.

 

But I wouldn't stay there if they were shuttling me to Rome.
