cruzlvrs Posted August 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2008 Does anyone know if there is an afternoon tea on the Constellation?
Rare uktog Posted August 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2008 Yes there is an afternoon tea buffet every afternoon from 1600-1700 and once a cruise a more formal elegant tea is served in the dining room. Up to now, they have asked men to wear jackets at that formal tea but I suspect with the *shhh* changed dress codes, this will have changed in the last couple of weeks
Lsimon Posted August 27, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2008 They sometimes also have an invitation only Tea in the specialty restaurant. There was a lot of discussion about Teas in another recent thread - so I won't repeat it all again, but here is a link to the other discussion ---> http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=830516

cruzisme Posted August 27, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 27, 2008 thanks for the info do they do the tea time on every Celebrity ship ie Mercury? would love to attend one day and be pampered even more!
Fblack Posted August 28, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2008 The afternoon tea is not like the more formal tea as on Holland America ships. Basically it's just snacks, sandwiches, and pastry in a section of the buffet. No liove music. You get your own tea and drinks. It's hard to beat HAL's afternoon tea service. As mentioned above - Celebrity does have such a tea, but only once or twice a week and not every day. The every day tea in the buffet is really just snacks which include some tea sandwiches and sweets but isn't a proper tea.

HAL knows how to do a proper tea! Violins and all! :)
