MEGADAN Posted August 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2008 Just wondering if the DCL Check-in located at the Magic Express counter at the Airport is only for cruise/land packages? We are staying at a Disney Resort before the cruise but we are driving to the airport.
ducklite Posted August 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2008 Which rental agency are you using? Could you return the car at or near Disney World (many car rental agencies have locations at the DTD hotels) and then take the DCL bus from your Disney hotel? Or return the car to an agency out at the port?
MEGADAN Posted August 29, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted August 29, 2008 We are renting Budget one way to the port. It is cheaper and it allows us to take our time. Thanks for you response
ElsieToo Posted August 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2008 Which rental agency are you using? Could you return the car at or near Disney World (many car rental agencies have locations at the DTD hotels) and then take the DCL bus from your Disney hotel? Or return the car to an agency out at the port? When I checked it was a $70 per person transfer for the bus from WDW to DCL. Instead of paying $230 for a 1 hour bus that was packed with a bunch of others (and no car seat for my toddler) we booked a private 14-passenger van through http://www.fltours.com for $150, and that includes free car seat use, gas, tolls, everything else. We would have rented a van, but to fit our entire party together we would have had to rent a full-sized van (we couldn't fit everyone and our luggage in a minivan), which wasn't available to drop off at the port.
