San Juan:Bye bye Destiny

When Carnival Destiny sets sail tonight at 10:00 PM, it will be her last sailing out of San Juan. She will be back next Sunday but only to drop off passengers and as soon as all passengers disembark, she will set sail to Freeport, Bahamas for it's almost 2 weeks dry dock.

 

The carnival Victory will take over from her, but her first sailing out of San Juan will be on Sunday November 2.

I hope she has a wonderful two weeks in dry dock. We cruise her October 15th and October 20th.

Does anyone know what will be getting done to her while she is in dry dock?

The Destiny was the first ship I got my DH to go on. Funny thing -- he got hooked!:D

The biggest thing is the addition of a Seaside Theatre screen.

We really enjoyed our 5 port marathon on Destiny last October. My wife is taking a "girls cruise" on Oct. 2 so she will see the results soon too.

Love the Destiny...hated going out of San Juan.

I'm glad she's going to Miami. I have a better chance of sailing on her if she sails out of a Florida port! :)
