Spices !!!!!

Can anyone tell me if there are any unusual herbs or spices to purchase in the eastern caribbean? We like to cook and try new things! Thanks!!!!

I bought a bunch of great spices in Dominica. I prepared delicious chicken but it took a good 3 weeks until my house smelled nice again lol. The next time I used the spices, I grilled, MMmmmmm.

 

I had to double bag them in ziplocks b/c the aroma was taking over my spice cabinet but that didnt help much so I kept them a little while longer "outside" in my yard but eventually I had to throw them away. :-(

When you see a medium baggie of saffron for $3 (or any similar deal) - Think about it. They know you won't open it until a week after you get home.
