bigbass Posted September 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2008 Can anyone tell me if there are any unusual herbs or spices to purchase in the eastern caribbean? We like to cook and try new things! Thanks!!!!

Sugar*Magnolia Posted September 2, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2008 I bought a bunch of great spices in Dominica. I prepared delicious chicken but it took a good 3 weeks until my house smelled nice again lol. The next time I used the spices, I grilled, MMmmmmm. I had to double bag them in ziplocks b/c the aroma was taking over my spice cabinet but that didnt help much so I kept them a little while longer "outside" in my yard but eventually I had to throw them away. :-( (isnt that weird? I still find it so odd)
CruznTom Posted September 2, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2008 When you see a medium baggie of saffron for $3 (or any similar deal) - Think about it. They know you won't open it until a week after you get home.
