Mariner Update

Returned September 3, from a 14 day Vancouver to Vancouver cruise on the Mariner. We've been reading about a decline in service levels on Regent. This was our seventh Radison/Regent cruise so I think I have a good basis for comparison. Service was outstanding in all areas. Bar service in the lounges was attentive. Food was very good to excellent. I ate mostly fish, fresh Alaskan salmon, halibut and lot's of lobster. The beef I tried was of high quality. Compass Rose was efficient, never had to wait for a wine refill. Signatures' service was over the top, a bit pretentious for my tastes. Latitudes was fun, excellent service and a nice change of pace. Too bad it's going away.

A few people got sick, including one of the dancers. Some of them had just gotten on in Seward so it wasn't restricted to people who had been on the ship.

I'll do a full review later.
