If docs are mailed to you, are luggage tags like the old ones?

I keep hearing so much about people chosing e-documents instead of receiving them through the mail (postal mail). Everyone seems disappointed in how the luggage tags print up. If I chose to get my docs mailed to me will I get the regular tags that I've been getting from Carnival for years...or are they now sending the flimsy, paper thin ones that I'll have to get laminated? I kind of like having a chance to do the doc dance also! :)

No - unfortunately the new luggage tags are more sticker than tag. We too liked the old ones better. This won't stop us from continuing to get docs mailed to us -- we like the excitement when they arrive in the mailbox.

You get the flimsy ones.

Take a roll of wide parcel tape, the clear variety. Put on both sides of tag from your printer. Staple to luggage. It will not rip off, it must be cut off, very strong. Laminate is not necessary.

We got the flimsy paper ones - just took packing tape and covered them.

 

But then when checking in at the port, they were handing out the regular color-coded luggage tags and making us put them on too - *****? (This was April)

Oh well, I think I may still get them mailed to us, it's so fun opening up the packet and looking at everything. Thanks everyone!
