bronxadw Posted September 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2008 I'm sailing on the Crown Princess this month and like to walk a couple of miles each day on deck. Can anyone tell me on which deck you can go right around the ship....it appears from the deck plan that the Promenade does not.:) :)
caber Posted September 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2008 I think you have to go up then down again. I donb`t think any deck goes right round.
Atomica Posted September 10, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2008 The promenade deck on the Crown, like the other Grand-class ships, does indeed go right around, but you have to ascend a flight of stairs at the bow (the bow portion of the promenade is up one deck higher). Colo Cruiser Posted September 10, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2008 Promanade deck, if you don't want to use the stairs turn around and go back the other way. :)
pungo3 Posted September 10, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 10, 2008 Thank you for the information. I'll be on the Crown next month and will follow your advice.
FredS Posted September 10, 2008 #6 Share Posted September 10, 2008 Just be aware that on the Promenade Deck you can run into quite a lot of people just strolling along and it can be difficult to get by them. There are certain times of the day, it seems, that are worse than others. The other thing to do it go up to the Sky deck and use the jogging track; the circle is shorter so it takes more times to get you couple of miles but it might be less crowded, and you will get the sun at the same time. jean s Posted September 10, 2008 #7 Share Posted September 10, 2008 I find that as long as I walk by 8AM there is little traffic. On sea days there is also very little traffic between 4 and 5. I like the fact that you have to go up a flight of stairs ... good exercise. I try to do 6 laps each day, it's great to be walking and have such a great view. dutchess43 Posted September 10, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 10, 2008 Use the sky deck the promenade is a pain to jog. I was on her in May & as far as I am concerned for a new ship the jogging track was definately never one of the ships design priority.
Scooter-n-GB Posted September 10, 2008 #9 Share Posted September 10, 2008 (the bow portion of the promenade is up one deck higher). One of my favorite parts of the ship! Love being able to walk right out to the very tip of the bow! :)
