Diamond Palace Hotel?????

We will be staying in SJ the day before our cruise and there is a group of 6 of us traveling, we're trying to stay on the cheaper side for this one night, we basically just need a clean place to sleep. Does anyone have any opinions about Diamond Palace Hotel & Casino?:confused:

I have seen some great reviews on the Coral Princess. It is a small boutique hotel...only 25 rooms, but very reasonable for San Juan and seems to be in a good area.

Last time we were in San Juan we stayed at the Howard Johnson in Old San Juan. They had a good AARP rate. It is nice to be right in Old San Juan. It is around the corner from Barrachina. The hotel is clean, not fancy, but ask for a low floor as elevator is slow and hot. Location is great.

 

We will be there a week before you, but there will be a big festival going on in Old San Juan so we couldn't get a decent rate so we are staying at the Coral Princess. That's ok since I like to try different places.
