Gratuities

With Disney does the final cruise price include the gratuities or are they added on later like Carnival? Also are there other charges that are mandatory above your cruise price? thanks!

The gratuites are not automatic nor are they included. On DCL you can either go to the pursers desk to have the gratuities added to your account, or you can give the staff their gratuities in cash--your choice.

I've found DCL to be among the best in not "nickel and diming" you like other lines. Gratuity is not included since it's up to you how much to tip.

The only other 'mandatory' charges would be the 15% gratuity that is added to your bar bill.

A good plus is that sodas are not an extra charge.

Just to clarify--if you order a soda at a bar, there is a charge. Free soda is available at the deck 9 drink station and in the restaurants.

Thanks for clarifying this...I've never ordered a soda at any of the bars.

Soda through roomservice is charged. If you order it with a meal there isn't a charge.
