Taxi cab from Pt. C terminal to National Car Rental location in Pt. C?

I have a "free" day at National that would cost me a total of $ 2.63 to rent a car to take us back to MCO. However, I just realized there is no shuttle for the National location.

 

Could I catch a cab when we get off the ship? Any idea of the cost (and/or will a cab driver be irked that I just want to go local versus a trip to the MCO airport?).

 

It might be worth it if it's a $<10 ride since the rental cost is so cheap. And it could be far faster than waiting for the shuttle w/the masses. Thanks!
