Can anyone recommend a company, for a non-beach tour of the island. Thanks, Amy

We found this company last year thru cruise critic it is called

www.caracao-acteif.com We did not use them as our friends had booked an excursion thru the ship and we didn't have enough people to book what we wanted to do. You can check it out and see if they have anything for you. They were great about email communication with us, and even said they waited for us and their designated spot on day of port. Wish we had planned something for this port, as this is the 2nd time we had been there and not enjoyed this island. My advise, PLAN SOMETHING!

We had a group on our Panama Canal cruise last year that wanted a tour like you are looking for. Through these boards we found Leo and he did a great tour for us. He met us at the dock and had a nice air conditioned van for our group of 8. We didn't want the beach type tour either. He is very knowledgeable about "his" island and is a joy to be with. He will tailor the tour to whatever you want to do. We had a great tour, made a side stop we wanted at a nice restaurant for a "cold refreshment" and still had time for a little shopping.
