Hotel before cruise.......help! Caribbean Princess cruise.

My son, his wife and two small children will be flying into LaGuadia from Denver Colorado Saturday 7/25/09 and will need and overnight that Saturday night before we all meet at the Caribbean Princess for our Sunday 7/26/09 cruise. Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.

Presuming the CB leaves from Red Hook, the Brooklyn Marriott is the nearest and, in my opinion, best full-service choice. I believe there's also a Holiday Inn Express and others of that ilk, but I don't stay in those kinds of places, so can't recommend from personal experience. There's also a pretty nice Embassy Suites (which might be a good choice with younger children) in the downtown Financial District area -- I can't recall its exact location but I know it's on the west side, so reasonably close to the Brooklyn Tunnel and therefore to the port. You'll probably find lots of useful info on the Home Ports board.
