Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

We are docking in Brisbane while on our Australian Cruise in December, and would like to go to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. I've heard it's easy to go on our own, but don't know anything about transportation. Is there public transportation, taxi service or another easy form of transportation that would take us from the port to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary?

Hi There,

Here is a link for Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. I went there too many years ago to remember much, except for a photo my parents had taken of my 2 brothers and I holding a koala!! Recently, on one of our local travel shows, they had a story on Lone Pine (http://www.koala.net/index.htm). If you click on visitor info, there are various ways of getting there, including a river cruise. Traffic can be quite horrendous in Brisbane (there are a lot of roadworks being carried out at the moment).

Enjoy your day there!!

Sarah
