Are the whirlpools on the decks enclosed on Explorer?

Hey people! I have a question..we'll be on the Explorer in July of next year. I was wondering if the whirlpools outside are enclosed somewhat?

 

This past year on the NCL Spirit, we went out to one of them on a windy night and literally drowned in the tub, the water whipped every whichway. I would hate to go through that experience again. Pics would be helpful..TIA!

there is an enclosed hot tub in the gym. it is pretty big and can fit lots and lots of people in it.
