Help with beach choice please

We will be visiting Antigua on Ventura in November. On our last visit we did an island tour including the English harbour so this time we would like to spend the day on a beach. Where would you recommend, somewhere scenic with reasonable facilities but not too crowdy and not to far from the port in St Johns to keep the taxi cost down.

I would recommend you check out Turners Beach. The beach is absolutely magnificant and the facilities include a bar and restaraunt as well as clean bathrooms and changing rooms. There is adequate shade and beach chairs are available for rent.

Thank you Antigua Marc, not heard of this beach before. It looks beautiful. I've just checked it on the Internet and emailed a beach restaurant there for info re lounger hire etc.

How far is Turners Beach from the port?

Hey there,

 

I'd say turners is about a 20 minute drive from the port. It a great beach for kids as well because there are no rocks or reefs near shore.
