tripman Posted September 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Hello, Are there any reasonable (price and quality) hotels in Miami that will provide transportation from the airport, then to the port the following day? I've done it in Fort Lauderdale, but not Miami, and am not sure where to start looking. Thanks

Plant Posted September 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2008 And, like magic, your post appears on the Florida Board :D ! We've stayed here: La Quinta Inn Miami Airport East 3501 N.W. Le Jeune Road Miami, FL 33142 Phone: (305) 871-1777 They offer a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, a continental breakfast and a shuttle to the port. We thought it was very nice. CruisinCanuck63 Posted September 23, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2008 I second the La Quinta Airport East. They had the most organized shuttle experience we have encountered. Hotel was comfortable and clean for a one night pre cruise stay.
lambs2 Posted September 25, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2008 I second the La Quinta Airport East. They had the most organized shuttle experience we have encountered. Hotel was comfortable and clean for a one night pre cruise stay. We have La Quinta East booked for April before our transatlantic. Free parking included for 14 days too. (Hint: call the hotel directly to book for best rates, including AAA and AARP discounts especially if you want the free parking option.) Shuttle will only take you TO the cruise port. It will not pick up pax after a cruise. However they shuttle both ways to the airport.
jaybeedee Posted September 26, 2008 #6 Share Posted September 26, 2008 They are highly rated on the travel advice website with the owl. They are the #1 hotel in the MIA area. Shuttle is $10pp leaves at 11, 12, & 1.
ecclectic-eccentric Posted September 26, 2008 #7 Share Posted September 26, 2008 The LaQuinta Miami Airport East sounded ideal, so I thought I'd try to get on a waiting list or something. Actually, they have rooms available, but they'll only accept a two-night booking. Drats! ee
BlueHerons Posted September 26, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 26, 2008 They are highly rated on the travel advice website with the owl. They are the #1 hotel in the MIA area. Shuttle is $10pp leaves at 11, 12, & 1. This is why TA is such a joke. To infer that the Hampton Inn, while a nice hotel, is a better experience than The Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Ritz-Carltons, Conrad, Biltmore, The Setai, or any of the other hundred luxury hotels is absurd.
