Villefranche to Vence (Matisse Chapel)

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but every time I try to search the forum, I am told the search is down.

 

So, any advice about going to Vence on our own when we stop in Villefranche? It looks like a really interesting town, Google maps say it is

only about 40 mins drive away, and we are very interested in seeing the Matisse chapel there.

We want to hit that also, and it appears that either trains or buses are available. Don't have any websites handy to direct you to, but the last time I was in Villefranche it was very simple to get the bus into the main bus station in Nice, then connect from there. We are also interested in seeing Cagnes sur Mer on the same trip. Bottom line is it IS doable!
