Choza for lunch and scooters in Cozumel

As recommended, we went to Choza to eat Pozole, found out it’s only served on Sundays. We even asked , since it was Monday, if they had any leftover, but no. We ordered sopa Azteca, and wow, it was great! Clear reddish chicken broth with strip of tortillas in it. This tastes nothing like the American version of tortilla soup! It was superb.

We asked the waiter, and were recommended to go to Popeye’s for ceviche. We were the only tourists there, it’s about 4-5 blocks away from the main street that fronts the water. The ceviche and shrimp cocktail were wonderful.

Rented scooters and drove to Punta Sur, would not recommend that on scooters, only in a car. It took about 20 minutes from Chanak. park to Punta Sur and during the drive we passed only a few other vehicles! But, once you’re there, Oh the view. There is one major bar/restaurant and it was pretty crowded once we arrived. We had beers only. Great photo spot! There are tables and chairs in side the open air restaurant and on the sand also.
