YazooWho Posted September 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2008 Hi All, I already know the costs of the onboard Wi-Fi and the usage of the onboard PC's for internet. However, has anybody ever used their Aircard for their laptops and used that to connect (not wifi) to the ATT (Cellular at Sea) network? I am not looking for heavy internet use but just an occasional check on emails. I understand AT&T charges $2.49/min for cell phone calls. They also mention that Data is "All GPRS pay per use rates are $.0195/KB". Do they just charge for data or Roaming PLUS data? I can get work to pay for data since its their card but if its roaming PLUS data charges, I think they might freak. Thanks for any info.
6502programmer Posted September 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2008 While you SHOULD check with AT&T, I would assume you would pay $.0195 per KB of transfer. I know with our BlackBerries, we paid roughly that in GPRS data usage.
PelicanBill Posted September 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2008 Careful. We had an AT&T aircard user roam in Canada and three days' roaming charges were outrageous.
