Easy cab fare question

Does anyone know how much the cost is for a taxi to/from Ft Lauderdale to the port there? Thanks. Also, any idea about alternate transportation from Ft Lauderdale pier to Miami airport besides cruise line bus?

I was wondering the same thing. I am going on the cruise this coming Monday. Flying into FL on Monday morning- arriving at 12:45pm.

We are thinking of just takinga cab stright there after land.

Taxi from Port Everglades to FLL was $15 + tip.

That's about what I figured, which is less than the bus for 2 people. Anybody know how to get from Miami airport to Ft Laud pier?

On a related note, does anyone know how hard it is to get a taxi after disembarkation in Port Everglades (FLL)? Our flight (out of Ft. Lauderdale) isn't until 12:40pm so we aren't going to rush off the ship right when it docks. (unless we need to due to a lack of taxis) Our ship is scheduled to arrive back to port at 7am.

 

Can anyone attest to the amount of taxis there at the port waiting for people? Are they in endless supply because of the busy cruise ship port or will we have to wait a long time?
