What are the best excusions (Rome Civitavecchia) ?

Hi, everyone! I just booked my third cruise for next june. I pretty much know what to expect as far as dining, rooms and amenities, but what makes this cruise so different, is that it will be my first time cruising in mediterranean sea. in particular i need info about how spend in the better way the few day in rome. what's your experience? Not sure why this is posted in the family forum; you may want to post this in the Ports of Call section, or better yet, get a guidebook on Rome and find out what you are interested in seeing. Everyone likes different things. Do some research.
