QE2 a Grand old lady

Recommended Posts

Though I have never sailed on the QE2, I am strictly an RCCL girl LOL...it was quite a sight to see her in my home town of Edinburgh, she is doing a 40th anniversary farewell tour before she goes off to Dubai to become a floating hotel, I must admit I had a lump in my throat when I saw her..... she is beautiful. and I'm sure there's a lot of memories out there

I think its really nice she gets to get a grand finale year. I'm looking forward to seeing her in Dubai. Just think about the SS Norway, they didn't even realize it was her final year, not even her final voyage. :(

There is a huge difference here between the QE2 and the Norway and why one is still in service and one not. Carnival Corporation took good care of the QE2 and NCL let the Norway die a slow death of disrepair.
