NCL On-Board Shop Booze-Take Off Ship?

So everybody knows that you can't bring your own liquor onto the ship, but I have a different sort of dilemma. We are going on NCL POA and will be doing a golfing excursion in Maui. The golf course doesn't have a drink cart, and since the excursion leaves so early, we won't have time to find a store to purchase any liquor to take on the course ourselves. We were thinking maybe we could purchase the liquor on board, and possibly have NCL personnel hold it and give it to us as we exit the ship in Maui that morning. We won't be bringing the remaining alcohol back on board when we re-embark after the excursion so that won't be a problem. We know this is a stretch-- but does anybody know if the cruiseline will allow it? Thanks for any & all replies.

there is no duty free liquor on the Pride Of America. You never leave US territorial waters and Hawaii doesn't allow it.

You can't get bar set ups on the Pride of America either. Same reason, not allowed by the State of Hawaii.

If you'd be okay with beer and wine, you can purchase that onboard the night before and (possibly) take it with you. Other than that, you are out of luck with buying full bottles of liquor onboard.

You can buy a bottle of wine onboard in the dining room or through room service. You can (or could) buy the "helmet" or "bucket" or whatever it is of beer and take the bottles back to your stateroom. Then (assuming it is allowed) you'd have them to take off the ship the next morning. I have no idea if pax are allowed to bring beer and wine off the ship with them.

 

Was that your question? Or were you questioning whether someone would even want to have beer and/or wine when golfing? I'm not a golfer, so you'll have to forgive my ignorance on that score.

I'm guessing you could manage to get the bottles of beer (or wine) off the ship, as long as you were discrete and packed it in a bag.

golly, some think NCL has strict booze policies, Hawaii takes the cake it seems. Of course I do understand the no duty free as you really never leave the country.

And we all know Hawaii doesn't allow gambling, not even a state lottery. Even Bingo isn't legal. And of course, no casino on the ship... Not exactly on topic, but somehow thinly related, lol.
