What should we do in January?

We will be in Nassau in january with Carnival. We would like to go to a nice beach. I was wondering which beach would be the best. Carnival has an excursion to Atlantis and Blackbeard Cay, would one of these be good. And what should the weather be like?

Hi- We did the Atlantis Beach excursion- the beach is nice, but the water can be choppy- so we weren't able to swim the day we were there.
