Huahine- Marc's Excursion

Please be cautious when booking an excursion with Huahine Nautique. We arrived in Huahine on 9/28/2008 and the guide was a no show. Our confirmation email stated that "we will meet on the wharf at 1 pm where the ship will be". We waited until 1:25 and no boat or guide. However, we got back on the ship and waterskied and kayaked, so the day was still wonderful for us. Make sure you reconfirm everything a day or so before your excursion so you will not be disappointed.

Pam - sorry you had a bad experience with Marc. People gave him really high marks on our tour. They couldn't say enough good things about him, but we had an all-day with him (ship arrived at 8 and left at 5).

 

Do reconfirm with all tours prior to leaving. We had to do that with ours and found out that our Rangiroa tour got moved from 9 a.m. to noon because of the tide. Also, do give those folks a heads up if you decide to cancel or change your plans. They usually have waiting lists for spots.

Were you aware that the PG did not dock at the usual place on the 9/28 cruise? The ship usually docks right near Fare. We had been to the island last year from the PG and did ask one of the crew why the change in location. She said that the captain had changed plans that morning as the Fare dock was undergoing repairs. There was a bus at the dock that took us across the island to Fare.
