Time of day for water activities

Hi all:

We've been to Hawaii to know the best time to do watersports like snorkeling is almost always morning because the wind kicks up by the afternoon. Is the same true of FP? Is there a better time of day for diving? We're on the 7-day Society Islands Feb. 28th. Thanks!
