I have heard that as guest staying in the suites we had a more extensive room service menu, and I honestly don't believe that. However I will say they had a nice selection of food to choose from and as others have said, a few things you would have to pay for, but they are for parties, etc. I think IF you get a better room service menu by being in a suite, balcony rooms may have access to the menu as wel, but what I really think is people get confused that you are able to order from speciality restaurants if you are in a suite, and maybe that is where the rumor comes from that in a suite you have a better room service menu.

You have made a great choice with picking the Star. She is a wonderful ship and crew.

I'm going Jan 3 on the Star to MR . . .

May I ask what the Crowne Plaza rate is? I'm thinking about staying there the night before and keeping my car there. Last year we parked it at the dock and I was freaked out the whole time. I mean nothing happened but still it's sitting out in virtually no where's land. R-

I got the room booked for 160 plus tax. don't think breakfast is included, but that's ok. why eat on day of departure, when we know we'll be eating our way thru mexico, right?:p

if you look up the website, they'll have rates on packages, some including parking the whole entire time you are away. we are flying in from vancouver, so that doesn't apply to us.

just looking into cost of shuttle from airport to hotel, and came up with a rate of about 19-20bucks per person from blue shuttle. we may take a taxi. anyone knowing poss cost?

If you can get a shuttle for $20.00 PP, that is your better deal. My memory is we took a cab from the pier to the airport last Nov and it was in the $60.00 range for the two of us and I don't remember if that did or did not include the tip.
