Celebrity Solstice 2/22/09

Is anyone else booked on Celebrity Solstice for the Feb. 22, 2009 sailing for the Eastern Caribbean?

My partner and I just booked a balcony cabin on this cruise. Would love to chat more.

My partner and I will be there too. We live in Seattle, and this will be our first cruise.

We've been on several cruises (all straight) but there have been a lot of gay couples (male and female) as well as a few singles on EVERY cruise.

 

On the Diamond Princess we became friendly with 2 gay guys (who were cops) were on the ship to get married. It's a different world.

 

My partner and I got married two years ago and friends of our gave us a honeymoon Cruise on the Queen Mary 2.

 

You'll have a great time. Looking forward to hearing from and meeting you guys.

Wish we could help you out as far as excursions. Never been to St. Kitts or St. Maarten. You'll have a great time in Old San Juan and the fort there. Wish I could help you guys (or girls) out better but we don't know these places very well.

Congratulations on your marriage; the QM2 voyage must have been fabulous.

 

No worries about the excursions; we'll probably not sign up for any of Celebrity's excursions in any of the ports. Because we have such a long time in St. Maarten, I think we'll take a ferry to Anguilla to check out the beaches there and also spend some time in the Dutch and French sides of St. Maarten before returning to the ship.

 

BTW, we're two gay men -- in our 30s.

In your - 30's?!!!! You could probably swim to Anguilla. We are older but very young in spirit. We've been together for 36 years and probably met when you were born - or - gulp - bbbbbefore.

 

Besides - being gay is not about age, is it. That's why we're FODs, right?

 

There will be gays of all ages on this ship. That's what makes it interesting. Now I have yo go have my power nap. (Kidding). Later.

There should be. It's always listed in the Newsletter they leave in your cabin every night. If you don't see it listed in the 1st newsletter, call the front office and they should be able to tell you when and where. Looks like we're getting a nice group of people.
