flamomo Posted October 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2008 Our roll call is trying to set a time to meet in person onboard. Boarding day seems to be out, as some are arriving on the flight that gets in in the early evening. Sailing day seems to be a better option. From experienced TA sailers, when is Muster usually held - - boarding day or sailing day? If it's on sailing day, is it before or after sailaway? Used to be on sailing day just before sailaway might be helpful to plan 2 meet and greets--the bar at the casino is good the pool bar at sailaway isn't good--too many people milling around at sailaway time We have always found the group with Patrick in Papette to be all cc members--helps to get the group moving--remember that you can always add other great follks that you meet aboard and on excursions--will halp your group to grow last trip we had room numbers and we had 3 cabins across the aft of deck 6--great party area Do you have a lot of people on your roll call ????? You may also find people who want to join the cc group at your dining table Have fun !! Nancy:D
flamomo Posted October 21, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted October 21, 2008 Thanks, Nancy. Our roll call is kind of small - - there's 12 of us - - but then, the Tahitian is a smaller ship, and we all know CCers make up a small percentage of cruisers. We were thinking of meeting in the Club Bar about a half hour after sailaway. That way, those with early dining would be near the dining room. But that might not be a good location BECAUSE it is close to the dining room and it might be crowded with first seating people. What do you think? Just get there EARLY--the bar by the dining room is always crowded--the people sitting at the tables in the bar and the folks lining up against the wall waiting to get in--first night is usually busy Why don't you plan one for the dining room bar and another maybe the next day or after dinner for the Casino bar When you say Club Bar--is that the one at the entrance of the Dining Room Try to get room numbers--so that you can leave messages--can also use the numbers to give info by phone--try to figure out how to leave an out-going/identification message on your stateroom phone--very helpful to those calling you to know who you are calling Have any part of the 12 of you decided to take excursions together ??always very helpful---but don't be disappointed if it doesn't work well--sometimes it just doesn't--nothing you can do--just have fun--you'll meet lots of people on this ship--hope you'll love it Nancy:D

flamomo Posted October 22, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted October 22, 2008 Thanks for the "freshest information". That timing will allow our group to meet as we have planned.
Spikesgirl Posted October 23, 2008 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2008 No worries - I went with the thought of gathering as much info as I could for everyone. I just wonder if we'll ever attend a muster where someone doesn't blow that d****ed whistle.

LOL! There's also at least a few at every muster that arrives wearing his/her life vest, even though the instructions say not to. Must be they don't read! Spikesgirl Posted October 23, 2008 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2008 Or listen as it is repeated, do not wear your vests, do not trail straps behind you...uffa!
