CanadianTwosome Posted October 21, 2008 #26 Share Posted October 21, 2008 I've always thought the tastings sounded 'worth it'... I just can't handle that quantity of alcohol in the middle of the day in sunny weather... I'd be in bed asleep at 7! I wish they offered one right between early supper and karaoke... now that would work for me!! :p
pinstripes4887 Posted October 21, 2008 #27 Share Posted October 21, 2008 If you like drinking martini tasting is great. It is $15 for like 6 small martinis. They are maybe like 2 shots worth in size. Martini tasting has the most bang for the buck out of all the tastings.

Ralphinsc Posted October 22, 2008 #29 Share Posted October 22, 2008 Had a ball on my Majesty cruise at the Martini tasting. I plan on doing as many "tastings" as I can get to this upcoming cruise; be it Martini, Margarita, Beer, Whiskey, or wine. :p
lmf914 Posted October 22, 2008 #30 Share Posted October 22, 2008 We just got off the Pearl last week, my husband did the beer tasting it included 6 nice sized samples of beer and then your choice of any bottle or draft they had at the end of the tasting for $15.00. I did the martini tasting right after and shared my drinks with him if I didn't like them. All of the tastings were $15.00 they also had margarita, whiskey & mojito we did not do any of those as they were all the same day and we were at the pool. I agree they should be done later in the evening but I guess there would be too many people for them to do one.

If they did it in the evening, I am sure there would be way too many partaking when the bars would rather have those people drinking at full price, can't say I blame them. The ship chooses the hours that get the least amount of customers I am sure and yet late enough to draw some. Nita

On Celebrity the wine clinic was much earlier.. Nita
chrisbd1 Posted October 22, 2008 #34 Share Posted October 22, 2008 I did the unholy trifecta in one day- margarita-which was cancelled so the bartender made me two free ones :o , martini and then beer. Then we went to the Latitudes party  . OMG, I will never do this again-maybe :D . We weren't planning on doing the beer tasting , but it was after the Martini tasting. Since we were already seated, we ended up staying for the beer tasting as well.
Leafpeeper Posted October 22, 2008 #35 Share Posted October 22, 2008 I was a few minutes late to the martini clnic on our last cruise. I was so disappointed. What a bargain. I wouldn't share mine with DH. He can buy his own.
