Non-smoking ship?

No, they no longer have a non-smoking ship,,,,for some that's not a good thing,,,

I am a smoker, and I do my best to obey rules so as not to bother others who are non-smokers,,,,but I can see how they'd be upset

I do think they should have non-smoking rooms, though,,,which they don't have.

Smoke Free Policy - Spa Staterooms (Carnival Splendor)

Carnival Cruise Lines has designated the Spa stateroom and suite accommodations, inclusive of the balcony, as an entirely smoke free environment. Guests booked in a Spa cabin agree to strictly comply with this non-smoking policy and refrain from smoking or allowing any other Guests from smoking in the Spa cabin. To preserve Spa standards and ensure staterooms and suites are free of smoke residue, Carnival will asses a $250.00 reconditioning fee per spa stateroom or suite for guests that do not comply with the non-smoking policy. This charge will be applied to the guest's Sail and Sign account.

Does Carnival still have a non-smoking ship? I think it was the Paradise??

Paradise used to be nonsmoking. That changed in 2003:

The Paradise was built to be the world's first completely non-smoking cruise ship. Every step of her construction was done by non-smoking personnel and she was entered into service supported by several anti-smoking and cancer-prevention groups. "No smoking" signs were placed prominently on both sides of the ship and on the stern under the name.

Non-smoking rules were strictly enforced. No smoking materials of any kind were permitted aboard. If anything was seen or found, the passenger was fined $250 and put off at the next port (transportation home to be provided at passenger's own expense). Due to poor revenue, Carnival decided to discontinue the smoke-free ship in December 2003 because non-smokers tend to not drink or gamble as much as those accustomed to smoke.

You can get smokefree cabins and balconies on the Splendor...the Spa Cabins.

We have one booked for next month .. woo hoo!!!

You have to sign a "contract" stating that you are aware the cabin and balcony are nonsmoking and it states the fines attached if you smoke in them.

we cruised 4X on the Paradise because she was smoke-free. Really enjoyed the smoke-free casino!!!! Probably the only one in the whole wide world!!

OH well!

The Silver city was a smoke free casino in Las Vegas, it lasted maybe a couple of years in this form, it is now a shopping plaza.

We were on the Paradise when it was smoke-free, one of their last times. It was great, especially in the casino. But, we were told that non-smokers don't drink as much and go to bed to early, so the ship didn't make enough money! We still drank enough and went to bed way too late..........
